The Moisture Minder® I piston drain is pneumatically operated and requires no electricity. It does not waste expensive compressed air like solenoid drains, float drains, or diaphragm drains. This drain is operated by an air pilot or pressure signal from the compressor unloader. The Moisture Minder® cycles each time the compressor starts and stops, using the unloader to operate the drain. It will handle compressors up to 25 Hp, although it can be used in compressors up to 200 Hp when used with a DrainMinder® controller.

As the piston moves forward, it closes the intermediate chamber and opens the ball valve. When the ball valve is open the condensed moisture and oil rush into the intermediate chamber and the excess into the reservoir, compressing the atmospheric air contained in the reservoir. As the piston returns, the ball valve closes and opens the exhaust port. The condensation is then expelled automatically out of the drain. Drain Package 21999-0084 Includes Moisture Minder® Drain Valve, Drain Minder® Controller, Self Cleaning Strainer, and Ball Valve The Drain Minder® is used to cycle the Drain Valve automatically and can be adjusted to cycle from 17 seconds to 15 minute intervals.  Hardware included for most compressor installations. This ultimate drain product can be installed on the Tsunami Separator™ for severely dirty systems.
